  • Is the hotel safe and fully functional after the earthquake on  April 25, 2015 & the aftershocks?                                                                                                          Yes the hotel is safe to be occupied and is running as normal. 

  • What is the difference between a regular hotel and a hotel that also has serviced apartments?                                                                                                            Besides hotel rooms & suites, we also have on offer serviced apartments that are fully furnished and are larger units than regular hotel rooms and suites, with kitchen and electrical appliances to make you feel like you are staying at home. Our facilities include 24 hours reception, daily housekeeping service, daily newspaper, room service, cable TV, fibre to wi-fi internet with hotspot access, and the Manny's Eatery & Tapas Bar.

  • What is the Juddha Villa?                                                                                                                                                                                                                   The Juddha Villa is our historical annex housing five airconditioned rooms. The villa has it's own cooking and dining areas if guests choose to try their culinary skills. It's private garden and historical setting provide guests a chance to relax and take in the ambience. 

  • Is there power back up for the long hours of load shedding in Kathmandu?
    Yes, we have power back up for the long load shedding hours. We also have heat pumps combined with solar heaters. Main line power in Nepal is generated by hydro plants.

  • Do you have 24 hour reception service?                                                                                                                                                                                                Yes we do.

  • Does the hotel have security?

    Yes we have 24 hours security personel on site, and infrared CCTV cameras in public areas.

  • How is your cancellation policy?                                                                                                                                                                                                                  We take non-refundable deposits to confirm bookings for stays above one week.

  • How many people can stay in one room?
    This varies from room type, for a one-bedroom unit, 2 people are allowed; for a two-bedroom unit, 4 people are allowed. Extra beds can also be placed in most units for an extra charge. In addition, children sharing their parent's bed or sofa beds (where available) can also be accommodated.

  • How do I pay for my booking?
    The booking charge can be paid by the following two ways:
    1. Payments can be done by wire transfer. We will send you the SWIFT code for the wire transfer and the booking form by e-mail.
    2. Pay at the hotel reception by cash or credit card.

  • What type of credit cards do you accept?
    We accept VISA, Mastercard, AMEX & JCB cards. 

  • Do I have a direct telephone line in my room?
    We have direct telephone lines in some accommodations. However we have a voice attendant automated EPABX system for all accommodations.

  • Do you provide Internet connection and is this charged as extra?
    So that you are able to connect with your loved ones on services like Skype and communicate with them via e-mail, we provide internet via wi-fi free of charge for our guests. Alternately, if guests would like their own dedicated internet, they will need to purchase a data package from one of the domestic vendors.

  • Do you provide I-pod docks & alarm clocks?                                                                                                                                                                                      We provide I-pod docks & alarm clocks with FM/AM radio in our Residence wing. 

  • Do you provide in-room safes?                                                                                                                                                                                                           We provide in-room digital safes in all our accommodations. Most safes can also accommodate lap-top computers. 

  • Can I bring my bicycle?
    Bicycles are allowed but it needs to be parked in the parking area only.

  • Can luggage be stored at the hotel whilst I travel elsewhere?
    Yes, on request & for a maximum 14 days.

  • Are pets allowed to be kept in the hotel?                                                                                                                                                                                          Pets are allowed in the Heritage building in a couple of units only, as long as they do not disturb other guests. The cost of any damage to people or property by the pet(s) will be the sole responsibility of the guest the pet(s) belongs to. Any legal and/or financial compensation will need to be done by the owner of the pet(s).  Pets are not allowed in common areas like the restaurant and will need to be kept under the owner's care at all times.  Please enquire further about our pet policy and charges before check-in.
  • What is the Electric Voltage in Nepal?                                                                                                                                                                                      Electricity is supplied at 220V.
